BLOOMSBURY FESTIVAL 11 – 20 October SMALL STEPS & GIANT LEAPS

The theme of this year’s festival which is one of the biggest community festivals in Europe is Small Steps and Giant Leaps.  This is to mark the 50th anniversary of the first moon landing in 1969.  Many exciting lunar events are planned including the wonderful Museum of the Moon in Holy Cross Church in Cromer Street & much more.  The festival is full of wonderful events to feed the imagination and excite the senses.  To launch the festival there is a  fabulous Street Party in Store Street on Friday 11 October “Moonlight on Store Street” and the finale is what promises to be a memorable party called Hello Moon! A 1969 Tea Dance.  In between there are talks, circus acts, family events, story telling, dramatic presentations and much else besides.  Most events are free but it is best to pre-book on line for events.  Don’t forget my walk Small Steps around St Giles on Sunday 13 October at 11.00 am or alternatively on Saturday 19 October at 2.00 pm  @ St Giles in the Fields
