Walk London’s rich history with Richard Cohen

The Smithfield Tour

Braveheart, peasant rebels, grave-snatchers, martyrs, plague pits, hangings, London’s raunchiest and most outrageous fairground and her most ancient hospital. Smithfield gives us a vivid glimpse of the sufferings and pleasures of old London.
The walk takes in Charterhouse, Smithfield Market, Cloth Fair, St Bartholomew the Great, Bart’s Hospital,  St Sepulchre without Newgate, The Old Bailey, St Etheldreda’s and ends at Hatton Garden for Bleeding Heart Yard and the Old Mitre pub.
Meet at Farringdon Station. The walk lasts 2 hours and we end the tour in one of London’s most venerable and historic hostelries.
