The Foundling Museum

The Fight for Children’s Rights since 1739

The Foundling Museum explores the history of the Foundling Hospital, the UK’s first children’s charity and first public art gallery. It aims to inspire adults and children to make a positive contribution to society, by celebrating the power of individuals and the arts to change lives. See the contribution made by great individuals like Hogarth, Handel and Coram. Look at beautiful art and wonderful interiors and hear the stories of abandoned children and how the Foundling Hospital helped them to rebuild their lives.
n.b. The Foundling Museum has an admission charge of £5.00. Free admission for Art Fund card holders.
