Hampstead is London’s archetypal village containing a wonderful array of Georgian, Victorian and modern architecture. Hear how Hampstead grew into a retreat that has attracted artists, writers and intellectuals over the centuries. It has steep winding streets and the most breathable air in London. Many famous people have lived in Hampstead and left their stamp on its unique character. Our walk takes in some of the most beautiful pubs in London and the houses of Constable and Romney. We will also see one of the best-preserved Georgian streets in London as well as a couple of Restoration and Queen Anne era town-houses and two fine churches.
